This Privacy Policy describes how RentVBuy.net ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.
Information we collect
Calculator inputs: All calculator inputs are processed entirely in your browser. We do not transmit, store, or have access to the financial information you enter into any calculator on this site.
Usage analytics: We use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to collect anonymous, aggregated data about how visitors use our site, including page views, referral sources, performance metrics, and general device and browser information. This data does not include personally identifiable information and does not use cookies or cross-site tracking.
Shared calculator links:If you use the "Share Results" feature, your calculator inputs are encoded in the URL. This URL is stored only in your clipboard and wherever you choose to share it. We do not log or store these URLs.
Contact form submissions: If you submit a message through our contact form, your name, email address, subject line, and message content are sent to us via Resend, an email delivery service. We use this information solely to respond to your inquiry. We do not add contact form submitters to any mailing list, sell or share this information, or use it for marketing. Messages are retained in our email system for as long as needed to respond and maintain a reasonable record of correspondence.
Cookies
We use a single first-party cookie equivalent, a localStorage key called "rvb-theme", to remember your light or dark mode preference. This data stays in your browser and is never transmitted to our servers. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party cookies beyond what advertising networks may set when serving ads (see Advertising section below).
Advertising
We display advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies and similar technologies to serve personalized ads based on your browsing history. You can opt out of personalized advertising through Google's Ad Settings or the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page. We do not have access to data that advertising networks collect.
Third-party services
- Vercel: Our hosting provider collects standard server logs (IP addresses, request timestamps) for security and performance purposes. See Vercel's privacy policy for details.
- Google AdSense: Serves advertisements. Subject to Google's privacy policy.
Data retention
We do not store personal data on our servers. Anonymized analytics data is retained for up to 24 months for trend analysis.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable privacy laws (including GDPR and CCPA) to access, correct, or delete data about you. Children's privacy
RentVBuy.net is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at hello@rentvbuy.net and we will take steps to delete the information.

We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be reflected in the "Effective" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
